Amine Ayari

I'm a senior scientist in computer vision and machine learning with 13+ years experience in this field. I hold several patents, certifications and awards from the companies I've worked for.

I started my career in 2010 in INRIA research center where I worked on object detection and event detection in videos.

I then co-founded a facial analysis startup and was it's CTO for 2 years. I was responsible for product development which is an SDK for face detection, face keypoints detection, tracking, face attributes detection, face expression estimation etc..

After that I moved to the 3D company Dassault systèmes. My rôle was to develop technologies around deep learning applied to 3D data for augmented reality apps. I've worked on several projects, one of them magic mirror which is a virtual try on application. Users can see themselves trying several clothes in ar. My rôle in this project was to estimate the 3d body of a user from a single view RGBD data.

Another project was a home staging application. Users can point the 3d camera to a furniture: sofa /chair and my algorithm is able to detect this object, reconstruct it in 3D then edit it on the fly.

After Dassault Systèmes, I worked as independent AI & computer vision tech lead for Identidata startup which is a face recognition app in edge.

From January 2020 I joined Faurecia as senior Data Scientist and tech lead to develop automotive projects based on camera. Two of these projects are:

The first project, driver monitoring system based on Infrared camera. The goal of the project is to develop a drowsiness and distraction detection system. The second project is a driver body height estimation based on Infrared monocular images.
