Ă€ propos de Dimitri

🏭 With over 25 years of experience in Industrial IT, I help manufacturing companies modernize their production systems and accelerate their transition toward Smart Factory and Industry 4.0 environments. My expertise spans MES, SCADA, IIoT, and Cloud-Native technologies—bridging IT and OT to enhance efficiency, visibility, and reliability across operations.

đź’ˇAs a freelance consultant and solution architect, I design and implement secure, scalable, and future-ready digitalization architectures. I combine deep shop-floor knowledge with strong experience in Kubernetes, automation, and DevOps to connect industrial systems with the cloud.

🚀 Passionate about innovation, I also explore the potential of Artificial Intelligence—from computer vision for production monitoring to Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for industrial knowledge management and decision support. My goal is to help manufacturers leverage AI to create truly intelligent and data-driven factories.

    Context

Operating in a highly critical and fast-paced production environment, I integrated robust IT/OT solutions to support and steer complex manufacturing processes, including vehicle and battery production.
The scope of my work spanned across multiple domains such as logistics execution, alarm and event management, warehouse automation, and quality control. I was responsible for designing and integrating solutions that ensured reliability, scalability, and seamless integration between diverse systems (MES, SCADA, PLCs, and ERP), with a strong focus on maintaining operational continuity and minimizing production disruptions.

    Responsibilities

    • Led the technical design and integration of complex solutions involving MES, SCADA, PLCs, and ERP platforms across Audi's production landscape.
    • Delivered architectural blueprints and ensured alignment with enterprise IT/OT strategy, security, and scalability requirements
    • Key architect in the launch of Audi's first battery production line for EVs; developed new steering logic and integration flows across MES and logistics systems
    • Collaborated with HQ architects (Ingolstadt) to ensure local solutions complied with group-wide guidelines
    • Defined and enforced best practices for secure, robust integration using ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, and AWS SQS
    • Key Project: Battery Production Steering – Designed and rolled out an end-to-end MES solution for battery assembly; served as reference for other Audi plants

    Context

At Alstom Transport in Charleroi, recognized as the Group’s center of excellence for ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System), I contributed to the development of real-
time simulation tools used to validate Level 4 safety-critical embedded systems.
Working within the signaling solutions division, I supported the deployment of advanced ERTMS technologies for both trackside infrastructure and onboard train systems. These solutions are key to improving rail safety, enabling interoperability across European rail
networks, and increasing train frequency through automated, high-reliability control systems.
