- CentraleSupélec x AlgamaAI & Data Engineer – Computer Vision & Deep Learning | BiotechBIOTECHNOLOGIESseptembre 2025 - Aujourd'hui (9 mois)Paris, FranceAs part of a CentraleSupélec x Algama project (biotech startup specializing in microalgae-based food ingredients), I developed an AI pipeline to automatically detect and classify lysed microalgae cells from microscopy images.The technical stack included Meta's Segment Anything Model (SAM) for cell detection, iteratively refined through image tiling and parameter tuning, and a fine-tuned ResNet-18 classifier to categorize cells by lysis state. I also benchmarked alternative approaches (YOLOv8, Detectron2) and collaborated with an external computer vision researcher to validate the methodology.Deliverable: a fully automated cell analysis pipeline replacing slow, error-prone manual counting, enabling faster and more scalable characterization of the industrial lysis process.
