Mohamed L.

I am a research scientist with over 20 years of experience. Currently, I work as a research engineer and data scientist at Sweepin, where I contribute to the building of unique products that help people navigate indoor environments (i.g. hospitals, universities, malls, etc.). I am passionate about making use of machine learning, data science and maths to facilitate the daily routine for everyone. I am also the lead Android developper at Sweepin.

Previously, I worked at various universities ( University of Rennes 1 and INSA Rennes in France and SupCom, ISI and Polytech Sousse in Tunisia) as a senior research scientist and associate professor.

I carried out various research projects on wireless and mobile networks, indoor and outdoor positioning systems for IoT and smart cities applications.

Also, I have a considerable teaching experience: teaching thousands of students as well as supervising numerous master and phD thesis candidates. I worked as a master program coordinator and head of telecommunications department from 2016 to 2019 where I built strong relationship between universities and IT companies.

I published more than 38 papers in many international journals and conferences and participated as a principal investigator and as leader in various Tunisian, French and European research projects.

Competencies: Python, Java, Tensorflow, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Keras, Pytorch, Git, Signal processing, Maths, Wireless and mobile networks.

If you catch me outside work, I'm an adventurous traveler and an avid lover of football!

I am very interested in ecology. I also like meeting new people and having deep conversations over a cup of coffee.
