Commercial Due Diligence for a Private Equity Fund's Tech Acquisition

• Blackstone was evaluating the potential acquisition of a fast-growing SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) company. They needed an independent assessment of the target's market position and growth projections to validate the investment thesis.

• I led the commercial due diligence stream, analyzing the market size, competitive landscape, and customer feedback. I pressure-tested the target's business plan, built my own revenue forecast model, and identified key risks and opportunities for the post-acquisition value creation plan.

• My analysis provided the investment committee with the confidence to proceed with the acquisition. The insights directly shaped the negotiation terms and the 100-day plan, focusing on two key growth levers I had identified.

I optimized the efficiency of production lines for a leading Automotive Manufacturer.

• VW was struggling with declining margins due to production inefficiencies and supply chain disruptions.

• I spent time on the factory floor to identify bottlenecks in the production process. Using data analysis and lean manufacturing principles, I developed and helped implement a series of initiatives, including process redesign and a new inventory management system.

• The project led to a 15% increase in production output with the same resources and reduced raw material waste by 10%, directly improving the company's bottom line for a while.
