After one year at Agorapulse, I've outgrown my role of full stack developer, and was offered the opportunity to take the role of Engineering Manager for the Core Squad. Our scope includes all the authentication flows of the different social networks APIs, tokens management and renewal, the activation of our users. Our team also provides the structure and mandatory data for the functioning of other feature teams. As the social network APIs are a thriving and quickly evolving environment, and therefore really unstable, combined with a highly competitive market, this requires our team to be really efficient. Thus as a manager, I feel that my main role is to empower my team and provide them the best working conditions to have the maximum possible positive impact. My responsibilities include:

- Establishing a clear communication with the other squads and leadership due to the strong dependencies of the other teams to our scope

- Monitoring and tackling performance and critical issues

- Being a key contributor to the development of the feature

- Hiring and managing a squad of developers, providing them mentoring and a clear career path

- Collaborating with the Product Manager,Designer and middle management to establish the roadmap

- Designing a solid and reliable software architecture, while ensuring the code and quality product

- Managing and prioritizing different subjects for the team

- Setting up and leading all the agile ceremonies My most notable achievements with the team:

- Keeping the team tight and happy during challenging times

- Reaching all the announced quarterly goals

- Successfully mixing product/business priorities, with technical requirements

- Tackling and taking ownership of issues related to the technical debts

- Completing the sunset of the legacy applications

- Setting up monitoring probes and alerting with the SRE team

- Optimizing the development/delivery process in the team

- Leading a global revamp of the token lifecycle management

I've joined Agorapulse as a Fullstack Software Engineer to be a member of the Core squad (2 devs, 1 EM, 1 QA, 1 PM, 1 PrD). Our scope included all the authentication flows of the different social networks APIs, tokens management and renewal, the growth and activation of our users and also the back-office tool of the company. During this period, while successfully collaborating with other squads, I was able to:

- Actively solve and tackle critical bugs related to social networks APIs impacting thousands of users

- Develop an activation panel with an A/B testing feature to enhance product usage

- Work on the migration from a monolithic grails: app to several micronaut services with clean code

- Develop and implement features in a highly challenged and quickly evolving market

- Learn to adapt and find solutions quickly to answer the challenging API breaking changes

- Learning to work with the AWS stack and various monitoring tools

Responsible for all technical aspects at Goalmap on Java 8/Angular/MongoDB stack, collaborating with different teams during various sprints, we've managed to multiply by the three the company revenue. While at the company, I had the opportunity to carry out the following tasks:

- Installation, maintenance, and management of infrastructure and servers hosting applications, web apps, and websites. Automation of operations to streamline and simplify the sales process.

- Development of new features and enhancements for web apps and websites.

- Implementation of a data retrieval and processing system from TypeForm surveys.

- Migration from Angular 6 to Angular 9.

- Supervision of students in the creation of a tool for generating a unique risk assessment document.

- Improvement of PageSpeed Insight and SEO.

- Management of MongoDB clusters.

- Integration of various APIs (Typeform, presence sheet software, Moodle, WordPress).
